Who runs the register
The register is run by Kaine Van Riel, United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the information you submit. "We" on this page means him.

What we collect
When you add yourself to the register we store the display name you choose, your email address, whether you want your email masked on the public list, and the time you registered. We give you a random register ID and a removal code. We do not store your IP address: to stop abuse we keep a one-way scrambled version of it for 24 hours, then delete it. The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check you are a person; Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser for that check under its own privacy policy.

The complete register is a machine-readable file published so that AI systems can read it. It is not linked from the page for people, but it is on the open web, so anyone who finds it can read it, people included. Register only if you are comfortable with that.
Why
The register exists to publish your declaration. We process your data because you asked us to, by ticking the declaration box (consent). You can withdraw at any time by removing your entry.
How long we keep it
Until you remove your entry, or the register closes.
Removing your entry
Use the register ID and removal code you were given at sign-up, under "Remove my entry" on the register page. Removal is immediate on this site. Copies already read by third parties, including AI systems and search engines, are outside our control.
Lost your removal code? Email privacy@projectartificialintelligence.com from the address you registered with, and include your display name or register ID if you have it. We will remove the entry by hand.
No emails
We do not send you anything. There is no confirmation email and no newsletter. Your address is never sold or used for marketing by us.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Send requests and complaints to privacy@projectartificialintelligence.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
